Rinse the surface with warm water, wipe it with a soft microfiber cloth, and dry it immediately. This eliminates standing moisture and helps prevent etching.
Mix two to three drops of mild dish soap with one quart of warm water. Wipe the surface, rinse thoroughly, and dry. This removes soap film that can trap grit and cause scratches.
Check the drain, overflow, seams, and grate for trapped debris. Lift the grate and remove any grit with a soft nylon brush. Regular inspections help identify potential problems before they become costly to correct.
Apply a marble-safe cleaner or pH-neutral stone soap and let it sit for two minutes. Gently buff the surface, rinse thoroughly, and dry. This helps restore the marble’s gloss and prevent mineral buildup
Check the surface every three months for dull rings or water spots. These marks may indicate that the sealer is no longer providing adequate protection. If they appear, consult the Restoration Guide before proceeding.
Reseal the marble annually with a penetrating marble sealer. Apply two thin coats approximately 10 minutes apart, then allow the surface to cure for 24 hours. Always follow the sealer manufacturer’s instructions.
